Cookies

When you visit our website, cookies are stored on your device. These are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on your hard drive. They enable us or third-party providers to collect certain information. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transfer viruses to your computer. The information contained in the cookies is used to determine which data you have already entered and to recognise you as a user when a connection is established between our web server and your browser, for example.

We distinguish between technical cookies, which are used solely to ensure the operation of a website, and cookies that require consent. The latter are set by us or third-party providers for statistical analysis, tracking or advertising/marketing purposes.

Of course, you can change your settings for all optional cookies or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the ‘Fingerprint’ button in the bottom left-hand corner of the main page. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest; for technical cookies) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent; for all other cookies).

External Services

Adobe Fonts

We use Adobe Fonts to design our website. This service is provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. , 4-6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, Ireland. It gives us access to a font library. To integrate the fonts, your browser must connect to an Adobe server in the USA and download the required font. This informs Adobe that our website has been accessed from your IP address. Calling up the libraries automatically establishes a connection with the library operator.

For more information on how Adobe Fonts uses your data, please visit https://fonts.adobe.com/ and read Adobe’s privacy policy at https://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/policies/typekit.html. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

hCaptcha

Our website uses hCaptcha, an anti-spam tool developed by the American company Intuition Machines, Inc., located at 1065 SW 8th St #704, Miami, FL 33130, USA.
hCaptcha protects our website from spam and bots by placing cookies in visitors’ browsers that store user data in order to determine whether the visitor is human or a bot. This involves storing analytical data, such as IP addresses, browser type, device type and the date and time of access. Human identifiers, such as mouse movements and keystroke events, are also stored and used to identify whether a website visitor is human or a potential threat.

hCaptcha deletes website visitors’ personal data as soon as it is no longer necessary to store it. For more information, please refer to the hCaptcha privacy policy at https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy?tid=139482946. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Matomo

We have integrated Matomo, a web analytics service provided by InnoCraft Limited (7 Waterloo Quay, PO Box 625, Wellington 6140, New Zealand), into our website. This allows us to analyse user behaviour for statistical, optimisation and marketing purposes. The following data is processed: browser type and version; operating system; country of origin; date and time of server request; number of visits; length of time spent on the website; and external links clicked. Before storage, the IP address is anonymised. Pseudonymised usage profiles can be created and evaluated from this data. The data collected is processed on our servers and is not passed on to third parties.

The information generated in the pseudonymous user profile is not used to personally identify website visitors, nor is it merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym. Further information can be found in Matomo’s privacy policy at https://matomo.org/privacy-policy. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).

Usercentrics (Cookiebot)

To obtain consent for the use of cookies and consent-based services on our website, in accordance with data protection regulations, we use the Consent Banner from Usercentrics GmbH (Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany). The consent banner records and stores the respective user’s selection of cookies and consent-based services. This ensures that statistical, functional, and marketing cookies, as well as consent-based services, are only set or loaded once you have given your express consent.

The consent tool records, logs and stores the website visitor’s settings for the duration of a session. To clearly assign the selected settings to the respective website visitor, Cookiebot collects, transmits and stores certain user information (including the IP address). Further information can be found in Usercentrics’ privacy policy at https://usercentrics.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung/ and in Cookiebot’s privacy policy at https://www.cookiebot.com/de/privacy-policy/. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
